It is with great sadness that we report the death of Bob Cooles, our legal adviser since the purchase and relaunch of John Taylor & Co in 2009, and also a valued trustee of the Trust.
Bob was a personal friend to many of our directors and generously gave his professional services to Taylor’s over many years, always refusing payment for his work. His wise counsel, support and friendship have been invaluable to John Taylor & Co. and the Trust alike.
A dedicated change ringer for almost 60 years, Bob had a lifelong passion for bell ringing and a deep interest in the history and future of the John Taylor & Co bellfoundry. His enthusiasm, commitment and knowledge will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
